Patient caseloads primarily consist of adults and older adults with conditions such as orthopedic surgeries, neurologic impairments, cardiac and pulmonary diagnoses, post-acute recovery after hospitalization, and general deconditioning. You can expect to manage a full but reasonable caseload, with an emphasis on quality of care, safe mobility, and meaningful functional outcomes. Collaboration with nursing and other disciplines is an important part of the role, as you participate in care planning, discharge planning, and ongoing communication about patient status.
