In this role, you will primarily perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms, including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Depending on department needs, you may also assist with stress echocardiograms and other specialized studies within your scope of training and experience. Typical responsibilities include obtaining complete and diagnostic-quality studies, optimizing image acquisition, documenting findings within the EMR, and working closely with interpreting physicians to ensure timely reporting. Your typical day will involve managing a varied caseload, which may include routine studies, follow-up examinations, and complex cardiac cases. You will be expected to follow established protocols, maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and their families. The department environment is fast-paced but supportive, with emphasis on teamwork, shared problem-solving, and continuous learning. The schedule for this assignment is 4×10-hour shifts each week, with an expectation of 40 hours per week.
