BLS required from AHA. 1 year of CT experience in a Hospital or Clinical setting preferred Basic computer experience required The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and will help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The CT Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The CT Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The CT Technologist will adhere to and maintain expected imaging competencies as management outlines. The CT Technologist is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). The CT Technologist is licensed by the state as a general radiographer and is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the performance of basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services. The CT Technologist demonstrates proficiency at routine diagnostic CT Scanning procedures including but not limited to CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis extremities and biopsy/drainage procedures. Responsibilities also include: knowledge of processing of CT system, surgical/sterile procedure, studies with or without contrast media and cross sectional anatomy.
