Dose management and adherence to ALARA principles are emphasized, as is consistent image quality to support confident diagnosis. You will collaborate closely with emergency physicians, hospitalists, and radiologists to ensure critical exams are prioritized and completed within expected timeframes. On a typical night, you can expect a mix of ED, inpatient, and occasional add-on outpatient CT exams. Volume will vary, but you should be comfortable with a steady flow of stat and urgent cases and able to transition quickly between trauma, stroke, and routine imaging. You will often be part of a small, cohesive night-shift imaging team, which may include radiologic technologists and occasionally ultrasound or MRI coverage, depending on the night’s needs. Shifts are night-based, providing consistency for those who prefer overnight work. Hours are generally full-time with rotating weekends and holidays as part of a 24/7 department.
