On the night shift, you will provide high-quality CT imaging for pediatric inpatients, emergency department patients, trauma activations, and critical care units. Your responsibilities will include performing routine and emergent CT exams, with a focus on rapid, accurate imaging for acute conditions such as trauma, respiratory distress, neurological changes, and postoperative complications. You will also serve as backup for general diagnostic X-ray, supporting the emergency department, operating rooms, and inpatient units as needed. A typical night may include performing a mix of head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremity CT studies, along with portable and department-based X-ray exams. You will follow established pediatric protocols, work closely with radiologists to tailor imaging to the clinical question, and apply pediatric-specific dose reduction strategies. You will also assist with patient preparation, IV access coordination, contrast administration workflows, and collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, and child life specialists to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for each child.
