  • The Director of Ambulatory Nursing provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for all ambulatory nursing services across the hospital’s outpatient network, including hospital-based clinics, faculty practices, community-based sites, and procedural areas.
  • Reporting to the Executive Director of Ambulatory with a dotted line to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader will oversee a team of four direct reports and 39 FTEs.
  • This leader will serve as a catalyst for cultural and operational transformation—building aligned, high-functioning teams, driving measurable quality improvements, standardizing ambulatory nursing practices, and leading strategic initiatives that position the organization for sustained growth.
  • Ideal candidates will be seasoned nurse leaders with experience leading large, multi-site ambulatory operations. This highly visible leader must bring strong interpersonal and change management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Experience supporting recruitment, regulatory readiness, and process improvement initiatives will be essential, along with the ability to provide operational and clinical leadership coverage when needed.
  • This is a full-time, onsite role with required travel to satellite facilities.
Requirements
  • BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Active New York RN license required.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressive nursing leadership experience required, along with at least five years of experience in ambulatory, outpatient, or multisite management.
Compensation Range
  • The base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $190,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
