Celebrating Excellence: Honoring Our 2025 Commitment to Excellence Award Winners
Our Commitment to Excellence Awards celebrate the incredible nurses who inspire teams, uplift communities, and set the bar high in their work. This year, we’re excited to recognize Nsikak Brooks, Alexandria Craft, and Michelle Resendiz—three outstanding individuals who lead with purpose and passion.
Nsikak Brooks: Leading with Vision and Teamwork

Nsikak Brooks brings heart and insight to nursing. After witnessing a family friend’s battle with cancer, she was driven by a deep sense of purpose to enter oncology, seeking to make a meaningful difference for patients and their loved ones. Over her eight years as a nurse, Nsikak has discovered that each patient offers a new opportunity to learn and grow—enriching her life with various stories and experiences. She recognizes that mastery in this field is a lifelong journey, saying, “the more you know, the more you realize what you don’t know.” Nsikak’s commitment extends beyond the bedside. She continually seeks ways to support patients in their most vulnerable moments and inspires colleagues by sharing knowledge and compassion. Looking ahead, Nsikak hopes to expand her impact in the world of nursing.
Alexandria Craft: Compassion in Action
With twelve years of nursing experience, including four as a travel nurse,Alexandria’s passion for care is personal. Inspired by the nurses who supported her mother during a difficult illness in her senior year of highschool, Alexandria carries that legacy forward every day. As a devoted mother to a three-year-old son, she finds motivation in her family and her work to make a real difference for patients and their loved ones. Her journey reflects the powerful role nurses play in shaping lives, and Alexandria’s compassion continues to touch everyone she meets.
Michelle Resendiz: Raising the Bar with Tenacity and Care
Michelle Resendiz embodies dedication and growth, both in her professional journey and in the way she supports those around her. Starting as a CNA at a long-term care facility at just age 16, Michelle has advanced through nursing, earning her LVN in 2013 and becoming an RN in 2014. Her passion found a true home in critical care, especially in cardiac units, where her expertise and composure have been invaluable. For several years, Michelle has expanded her impact as a travel nurse throughout Southern California, adapting to new environments while enjoying the region's diversity and beautiful climate.
Alongside her fulfilling career, she continues to lead by example—balancing the roles of devoted wife, proud mother, and lifelong learner as she pursues her nurse practitioner studies.
