Getting Prepared for Travel Credentialing
The credentialing process is a crucial component in starting your next travel assignment. No matter your discipline, getting credentialed is your way of verifying the qualifications that allow you to provide care in your new facility—including requirements like a drug and health screen, a background check, as well as any necessary licensure and certifications relevant to your position.
Once you are accepted for a new assignment, your recruiter will refer your information to our credentialing team, who then compile your individual credentialing requirements for the discipline and state that you will be working in. Once you’ve looked at your list of requirements, don’t panic! You are not on this credentialing journey alone. You will have an assigned point of contact on the credentialing team to help navigate you through the process, so that you are ready to work.
The Role of Your AMN Credentialing Team
Your credentialing team contact will communicate each requirement you need to fulfill before starting, so you know exactly what you have to do and when. They are present to answer any questions you might have about the process or specific requirements while keeping track of your progress from start to finish. If you require appointments for medical exams or drug testing, your credentialing team is on the case to help get you scheduled at a convenient location, and on time.
