The hospital is also the pediatric teaching and research partner of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, advancing pediatric research and training future leaders in child health.At its core, Lurie Children’s is committed to family-centered care, community outreach, and improving health equity, making it a trusted leader in pediatric medicine locally, nationally, and globally. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seek a Division Head of Neuroradiology to lead a growing, high-impact academic program within one of the nation’s premier pediatric health systems.Reporting to Cynthia Rigsby, MD, Chair of Medical Imaging, the Division Head will provide strategic and operational leadership across clinical care, research, and education. This includes oversight of clinical operations, faculty recruitment and development, research direction, and fellowship training, while ensuring alignment with departmental and institutional priorities.The Division Head will partner closely with administrative and clinical leaders to drive program growth, financial performance, access, and innovation, including expansion of advanced imaging capabilities and enhanced multidisciplinary collaboration. A key focus will be strengthening partnerships across leading neuroscience service lines, including epilepsy, neuro-oncology, and neurovascular programs, and further integrating neuroradiology into complex care pathways and translational research efforts.This is a highly visible leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the future of pediatric neuroradiology, build upon a strong clinical and academic foundation, and elevate the division’s national presence.The Division: The Division of Neuroradiology at Lurie Children’s provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art imaging for pediatric neurologic conditions, utilizing advanced technologies including MRI, CT, and functional imaging techniques. Imaging protocols are thoughtfully tailored to optimize diagnostic accuracy while prioritizing patient safety and a dedicated 3D imaging post-processing lab is available onsite.The division includes a collaborative team of seven pediatric neuroradiologists who work closely with multidisciplinary programs such as the Epilepsy Surgery Program, Brain Tumor Center, and Neurovascular/Stroke Program. The team also partners with a dedicated 3D imaging lab to support advanced image processing and complex treatment planning.Clinical services are supported by robust infrastructure, including multiple MRI and CT platforms across the main hospital and outpatient sites, along with specialized pediatric sedation and anesthesia services to ensure safe, high-quality imaging for all patients.The division plays a key role in the academic mission through its pediatric neuroradiology fellowship, offering advanced training with strong exposure to complex cases, teaching, and research.The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be an accomplished academic pediatric neuroradiologist with a demonstrated record of clinical excellence, scholarly achievement, and progressive leadership within a complex academic medical center.Education/Certifications
  • An MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree or equivalent with a track record of leadership roles in an academic institution.
  • American Board of Radiology Certification required.
  • Neuroradiology or pediatric neuroradiology fellowship training or an equivalent imaging fellowship. 
  • Must have or be able to obtain an unrestricted Illinois medical license, and an academic appointment of Associate Professor or higher.
  • Must be eligible for Medical Board appointment.
