The Division of Endocrinology of the Department of Medicine   Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio   Assistant Professor/Clinical – Adult Endocrinologist (MSRH)   The Division of Endocrinology of the Department of Medicine, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking an Adult Endocrinologist to join our vibrant and rapidly expanding team. This is a full-time faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine at the rank of Assistant Professor/Clinical level for a non-tenure track position. The successful candidate must have a strong interest in developing an academic career.  The applicant must meet the minimum requirements (MD, DO, board eligible or board certified, Texas Medical license or eligibility, successful completion of an accredited residency/fellowship). The primary duties of the clinical endocrinologist include inpatient at University Hospital and outpatient responsibilities, with opportunities for clinical research and teaching delivered at UT Health San Antonio’s Gateway and the new Multispecialty and Research Hospital. The Division has an outstanding clinical fellowship program. UT Health San Antonio enjoys a collaborative relationship with the adjacent VA Hospital.   UT Health San Antonio has been ranked among US News Best Medical Schools, Primary Care and Research. Resources available for professional development include leadership, education, and research, formal mentorship programs, and supported opportunities for teaching and research across multidisciplinary disciplines. Requisite attributes include a commitment to service, a strong sense of teamwork, and a desire to train tomorrow's doctors. Substantial start-up packages are available for appropriate research applicants. The San Antonio area has superb weather, inexpensive living, a top-notch school system, and multiple year-round recreational opportunities including Historical sites, the River Walk, Six Flags, Sea World, and the second-largest Outlet mall in the country.
