The University of Iowa Department of Dermatology is seeking a general medical dermatologist to add to the growing faculty in their department. The position provides excellent work-life balance and flexibility and can be tailored based on the candidate's interest and area of focus.Opportunity Highlights:
  • Tailor your role with a standard appointment of 80% clinical and 20% academic/research time.
  • Prioritize outpatient clinical care, with options to engage in consultative inpatient dermatology if desired. Flexibility and support are available to conduct clinical trials or lead a clinical trials unit.
  • Expect 7 half-day clinics per week (28 patient hours), split between the main campus dermatology clinic and the Iowa River Landing clinic. Flexibility to increase clinic hours with additional compensation.
  • Standard inpatient rotation is 1:12.
  • Experience a wide variety of cases, from complex medical dermatology to common conditions, at Iowa’s only academic, tertiary care hospital.
  • Share night and weekend call on a 1:16 rotation, with minimal night duties and light weekend rounds.
