Join Swope Health, a comprehensive federally qualified health center, as their next Vice President of Development! The Position
  • The Vice President of Development will be responsible for the planning and implementation of transformative fundraising and strategic initiatives that advance the mission of Swope Health to improve community health and wellness. 
  • Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, the VP of Development will drive the overall strategic vision and growth of Swope Health’s Fund Development programs to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Lead and expand fundraising initiatives, including major gifts, annual giving, corporate sponsorships, and capital campaigns as well as inspire a culture of philanthropy and innovation across the organization. 
  • A key responsibility of this role is to build and nurture relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, and community partners to increase philanthropic support. This includes serving as a visible ambassador for Swope Health, representing the organization at community and philanthropic events.
  • This leader will oversee grant strategy and development, collaborating with internal teams to identify and secure funding opportunities.
  • Will ensure financial transparency and accountability, while maintaining responsible stewardship of donor funds.
  • Ideal candidates will bring extensive knowledge and/or experience pertaining to fundraising, client relations, and marketing/communications. Additionally, an understanding of local and/or sector-specific funding landscapes as well as the financial and legal requirements for non-profit organizations will be crucial. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. 
  • A minimum of seven years of related leadership experience is required.
