Fort Defiance Indian Hospital is an acute care hospital in Fort Defiance, AZ (Po Box 649) established in 1977 and owned by government entities, with 70 beds. The facility operates five operating rooms and one endoscopy room and provides a range of clinical services spanning anesthesia, diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, radiology), clinical laboratory, pharmacy, dental and optometric care, rehabilitation therapies, respiratory care and swing-bed/postoperative recovery capabilities. Departments include a medical/surgical ICU, emergency department, inpatient surgical and obstetrics (OB/L&D) services, neonatal nursery, pediatric and ophthalmic and orthopedic surgery units, as well as outpatient psychiatry and outpatient rehabilitation.
