Performs pre-and post-procedure care. Monitors and orients patients for specials/catheterization procedures. Answers related questions to make patient comfortable. Transports patients to and from procedural area. Communicates relevant medical information to physicians and other staff through required documentation on specified medical record forms. Records, enters into data computer and calculates catheterization data, gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis. Follows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self and staff. Maintains inventory of and orders procedure room supplies. Ensures procedure rooms are adequately stocked and equipment is safe to use.
