Patient care is at the heart of this position. You will help guide patients through their treatment course by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing reassurance and support. You will monitor patients for changes in condition and treatment tolerance and communicate observations to the care team. Documentation in the electronic medical record and oncology information system is a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that treatments are recorded accurately and that care is coordinated efficiently. The cancer center cares primarily for adult patients with a wide variety of malignancies, including common disease sites such as breast, prostate, lung, and head and neck cancers. Depending on experience and interest, there may be opportunities to work with advanced treatment techniques such as IMRT and IGRT. The patient volume is structured to allow you to focus on both technical precision and personalized attention, with patient-centered scheduling that promotes safety and quality. Shifts are generally daytime, weekday hours aligned with outpatient cancer center operations, allowing for a balanced schedule and predictable routine. Occasional flexibility may be requested to support patient needs, equipment maintenance schedules, or special procedures.
