AMN Healthcare is partnering with a well-respected school district in Granite Falls, WA to hire a highly motivated and passionate Paraprofessional for a contract position. The Paraprofessional will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to tutor and provide therapy to a diverse range of students with communication disorders. Responsibilities for this role include monitoring practices and related activities under indirect supervision to assist in implementing, continuing, or expanding practices to raise student achievement. Throughout the course of the school year they will accompany students between assigned locations within educational setting and supervise students in multiple learning environments, such as field trips and work settings, to assist students to demonstrate the character and competencies for workplace success. The Paraprofessional will also introduce and monitor instructional plans developed by teachers and specialists. They will maintain accurate, daily records of student performance under indirect supervision and participate in Individual Education Plan (IEP) and staff meetings, following procedures and practices to assist students in achieving their personal best. Additional support provided by the Paraprofessional includes assisting teachers and specialists in providing public relations linkage and establishing collaborative relationships with staff members, families, students and local community to assist in expanding practices proven to raise student achievement inside and outside the classroom.
