A technologist with an ARMRIT certification would meet the requirements if they also take and pass the ARRT boards for MR certification thus be certified as an ARRT (MR). Additionally, if the MRI candidate is certified with the ARRT in Radiology (R), or Computed Tomography (CT) they would need to have or acquire a Washington state license. There will be a change to this in that the State is working on requiring MRI technologists to have a Washington State license, however this has not been instituted at this time. License/Certification: • American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) certification is required. • State of Washington Certification as a Radiological Technologist required unless ARRT(MR) is achieved through the ARRT Primary Pathway. • ARRT MRI Certification is preferred. • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification. • MRI Certification pay incentive available Department: Radiology – MRI General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS for Healthcare worker, N95 fit tested Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI. Washington State Radiologic Technologist License REQUIRED if candidate is ARRT certified in X Ray or Computed Tomography How many scanners/rooms does this department have? Two at the Main Hospital – and Three outpatient clinics Will they have to float/cover any other areas?
