Mammographer needed for Dallas. Days, M-F: 0700 – 1530, 40 hrs/week. Two years experience, ARRT (M), MRT certificate and BLS required.

The Mammography Technologist 2, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs advanced Breast Imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE JOBPerforms high quality Breast Imaging procedures according to exam protocol, in a timely manner. Maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to: identify patient service requirements, ensure correct exam is performed on the correct patient, and establish rapport with patients and others. Instructs and communicates with patients and their family regarding the test to be performed and assesses patient’s ability to tolerate exam.Prepares patient and area for procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols and techniques. Uses proper sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive multimodality procedures and maintains hand hygiene requirements.Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment. Reports issues to management or appropriate department. Mammographer needed in San Diego, CA Applicants must have a proof of formal education in breast imaging and hold an ARRT(M) certification. Screening and diagnostic experience is mandatory, along with a California Mammography license. Candidates should have completed 15 CEUs in breast imaging in the last three years. Experience in stereotactic procedures and needle localization are recommended though not mandatory. Will need to rotate on the mobile vans. Certs/Licenses: ARRT license for RT and M, ODH LIC, BLS/ACLS Floating: Women’s center and mobile (once or twice a week) Machines: 2 Hologic 3D units and 1 GE Pristina 3D unit, Hologic 3D Unit on Mobil Van 40-50 patients a day Must be able to work independently screening and diagnostic mammograms, knowledge of QC, stereotactic biopsy exp preferred. Any documents missing will result in this training be done onsite before performing mammograms on patients. BLS certification. Must have: Screening mammogram experience, competent in additional imaging views such as magnification and spot compression views. Experience in advanced mammography imaging and fully confident/competent with demonstrating and showing radiologists complicated mammographic cases. Certifications: ARRT (R) and (M) Mammography Patient Ratios : Avg 38 patients per day screening mammograms. 18/day diagnostic Unit staffing description- Large breast center with average of 10 techs on site per day Type of equipment : GE Senographe Pristina Documentation system: Cerner, Penrad Scheduling requirements: M-F 9:00-17:30.
