Typical responsibilities include comprehensive respiratory assessments, implementation and adjustment of ventilator settings, management of non-invasive ventilation modalities, administration of respiratory medications and therapies, airway clearance techniques, and ongoing tracheostomy care and monitoring. You will participate in ventilator weaning protocols, collaborate in daily interdisciplinary rounds, and contribute to individualized care plans designed to help patients progress toward lower levels of care or home. A typical day involves caring for a manageable number of high-acuity patients, allowing you to focus on clinical detail and patient progress rather than rapid turnover.
