  • The Director of Pharmacy provides oversight, direction, strategic planning, and coordination to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient use of medications across all operational, clinical, and financial pharmacy services at Wellstar’s newest hospital, Columbia County Medical Center.
  • The Pharmacy Director reports directly to the Assistant Vice President of Operations and will oversee a team of 68 FTEs and three direct reports.
  • This leader will establish the foundational framework for expanding pharmacy services, including growth into ambulatory and infusion services, while evaluating procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement, and strengthening medication safety practices.
  • The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a solid understanding of medication safety, the ability to build and foster relationships, and excellent communication skills. Demonstrated working knowledge of the 340B program and the ability to effectively speak to financial performance and metrics are highly desirable.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
  • Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license required.
  • Minimum of seven years of hospital pharmacy experience required, including at least three years in a leadership role.
