Julie Macdonald serves as Chief Communications Officer at AMN Healthcare, responsible for driving enterprise alignment on strategic initiatives, leadership engagement, executive operations, communications, and change management.
Ms. Macdonald brings 30+ years of leadership experience spanning strategic positioning, transformation, marketing, and enterprise communications. Prior to joining AMN Healthcare in 2025, she served as Chief Marketing Officer at Private Health Management, supporting the organization’s growth in serious and complex care management services across both employer and high-net-worth markets.
Earlier in her career, she spent 16 years with Aon and Aon Hewitt, including roles as Chief of Staff and Strategic Communications Officer to the CEO of Aon Hewitt, Global Communications Leader for Aon, and leader for marketing, public relations, and corporate social responsibility. She began her career as a management and change consultant with Andersen Consulting and held roles across human resources, learning, recruitment, and client change management with MCI Systemhouse, and Exult.
Ms. Macdonald holds B.A. degrees in Economics and Business Management from the University of Redlands. She is a long-tenured volunteer with CASA of Los Angeles supporting children in the foster care system.
